Additional Parking for the Conference

Advice provided by The Westin Nova Scotian

When the Westin parking lot is full– the following options are available to you:

PLEASE NOTE: The Barrington Street Superstore does not allow guests from the hotel to park in their lot and will ticket cars who try to do so.

There is the following parking available in the Halifax Seaport District (behind the hotel): Diagram Above

  • Lot 20 (shaded in blue) – in front of the Farmers Market will be Pay and Display only

  • Lot 22 (shaded in blue)–in front of the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 and Cunard Center will be Pay and Display only

  • The Wedge (shaded in orange)–across Marginal Road from Lot 22 will be Pay and Display as well as monthly parking permit holders

  • Film and Media Centre (shaded in orange) – parking surrounding the Film and Media Centre building will be Pay and Display as well as monthly parking permit holders

  • Parking meters are available throughout the Halifax Seaport for shorter durations.

    • The hours and rates will be:

    • Monday to Friday - 8am – 6pm $2.00 per hour to a maximum of $10 per day

    • Weekends\Evenings (6pm– 8am) and Holidays – Remains Complimentary

Deputized Commissionaires will be monitoring the parking lots at the Halifax Seaport to encourage the correct use of the parking facilities, answer any questions you may have, and to issue parking infraction tickets if required.

  • Via Rail Halifax – Pay & Display (parking lot directly beside The Westin Nova Scotian parking lot) - Daily Rates:

    • $4.00  first hour

    • $4.00  each additional hour

    • $11.00 – 12 hours (6:00 am - 6:00 pm)

    • $7.00 – 12 hours (6:00 pm – 6:00 am)

    • Visa, Master Card, American Express, Debit and Cash accepted at pay station.
