You may know APSEA as a service provider in your school, but what does that partnership actually look like? Join us for a practical overview of who we are, the specialized supports we provide for learners who are Deaf and/or hard of hearing, and how our team works in partnership with school staff and families. This session is designed to help principals better understand the resources available through APSEA and the role we play in supporting inclusive learning environments.
Lisa Jenkins is APSEA's Supervisor of Programs (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) for Nova Scotia. She previously worked as an APSEA teacher and in the public school system. Lisa holds master's degrees in educational leadership, counselling, and deaf/hard of hearing education.
